Weber Frankiw Surveyors have been operating from their office in McLaren Vale since 1980, with offices in Kangaroo Island and Mannum, providing a statewide service in Surveying, Planning and Development.

The Weber Frankiw Team consists of Company Directors and Licensed Surveyors John Weber and Jerry Frankiw, Licensed Surveyors David Weston and Ashley North, Office Manager Scott Vasey, Engineering Surveyor/Survey Technician Alistair Cameron and Survey Graduate Max Reddy.

Weber Frankiw specialises in Land Divisions, either small scale (1 into 2), or large scale subdivisions, including major developments at Port Vincent, Kangaroo Island, Hindmarsh Island, Willunga,  Aldinga Beach, Woodcroft, McLaren Vale and McLaren Flat. They also currently have a major involvement with the Mannum Waters Project.

Jerry Frankiw

Jerry Frankiw

Company Director and Licensed Surveyor

Jerry has extensive surveying experience working in both the public and private sector after graduating from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Surveying in 1971. In 1986 Jerry, along with John Weber formed Weber Frankiw and Associates in the Main Street of McLaren Vale. He has been the President of the Australian Consulting Surveyors Association, an advisor to the District Court on survey related matters and received the Institution of Surveyors prize for the most meritorious academic achievement in his final year at University. He is the man to come and see when you want to do anything survey and development related on Kangaroo Island and specialises in Road Opening and Closing procedures.

John Weber

Company Director and Licensed Surveyor

John has been a Licensed Surveyor for over thirty years, having worked for the Government in the Public Buildings Department after graduating from the South Australian Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Technology degree (Surveying). He started working in private survey practice in 1980 and joined forces with Jerry Frankiw in 1986 to establish Weber Frankiw and Associates in McLaren Vale. As well as being a Licensed Surveyor, John is expert in the knowledge of Council Development plans and can advise on all aspects of developing land from large marina style projects to small scale land divisions. John works out of our Mannum office 2-3 days per week to service the Murraylands region, as well as working out of the Weber Frankiw office at McLaren Vale.

David Weston

Licensed Surveyor

David first started working for Weber Frankiw in 1988 after graduating from the South Australian Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Surveying. David became a Licensed Surveyor in 1992 & has focused mostly on Cadastral Surveying for Weber Frankiw, dealing with every aspect of major projects as well as the smaller land divisions & boundary identification surveys.

Scott Vasey

Draftsman and Office Manager

Scott began his career with Weber Frankiw in 1998, during the vineyard planting boom, as a Survey Technician. In 2000 he then took an opportunity to learn a new role as a Survey Draftsman. Spending most of his time in the office, provided him with the opportunity to support John and Jerry in land division consultation and administration.

Ashley North

Ashley North

Licensed Surveyor

Ashley completed his Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying at the University of South Australia in 1998 and became a Licensed Surveyor in 2009. While working in both Australia (SA, ACT, NSW) and the UK, he gained a wide range of experience including having worked on multi-storey building projects, Engineering surveying, Government road works, Flood mitigation and Licensed Survey work.

Alistair Cameron

Engineering Surveyor

Alistair gained his Surveying Qualifications (Advanced Diploma in Spatial Information) from RMIT, Melbourne. After moving to South Australia he has worked on construction sites ranging from Adelaide Airport to the Glenelg to Victoria Square Tramline upgrade. At Weber Frankiw, Alistair has worked extensively on road construction, vineyard set out, building set out, marina construction and many other engineering related projects.

Max Reddy

Max Reddy

Graduate Surveyor

After graduating with Honors in Geology, Max went on to do further study, completing his graduate diploma in Surveying in 2016. He joined Weber Frankiw in 2017.
